About DataMigra

DataMigra is the public data platform of Núcleo Milenio Migra. It organizes, visualizes, and provides access to quantitative evidence on migration in Chile, maintaining a clear link between published results, data sources, and reproducible materials.

About Núcleo Milenio Migra

Núcleo Milenio Migra conducts applied research on migration in Chile, focusing on its social, institutional, and economic dimensions. Its research agenda covers employment, education, health, security, access to justice, and public perceptions of migration.

What DataMigra does

DataMigra translates this agenda into a public information platform. Each section organizes results by source and provides access to statistics, charts, and concise documentation through a consistent framework for traceability and updates.

Public purpose

The platform facilitates access to descriptive evidence for research, teaching, journalism, public service, and civil society organizations interested in migration in Chile.

What this platform brings together

DataMigra brings together results from surveys, administrative records, and official estimates. In addition to published figures, it provides code, figure-ready tables, and documentation to support reuse.

Host institutions

Núcleo Milenio Migra is hosted by Universidad de Chile, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, and Universidad de Tarapacá. This institutional framework supports the interdisciplinary work behind DataMigra.

Scope of the results

The indicators published in DataMigra are descriptive. They document magnitudes, composition, and observable trends in the available sources; on their own, they should not be interpreted as causal estimates.
